中秋节也被称作月亮节或月饼节 ， 是仅次于中国新年的中国第二大重要节日 。
The Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the Moon Festival or the Mooncake Festival. It is the second most important festival in China after Chinese New Year.

The roundness of the moon represents the reunion of the family in Chinese minds. This day people who work far away from their homes will try their best to go home. On the evening families will enjoy a big feast.
晚饭后 ， 大家会点亮灯笼 ， 通常都是红色、圆圆的 。孩童们则会欢快地玩起自己的玩具灯笼 。
People will light the Mid-Autumn lanterns after dinner. The lanterns are usually red and round. Kids will happily play with their own toy lanterns.

夜晚 ， 天上的月亮又圆又亮 。大家边赏月 ， 边吃月饼 。月饼是中秋节最具代表性的食品 ， 因为他们又圆又甜 。
At night, the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon while eating mooncakes. Mooncakes are the most representative food for the Mid-Autumn Festival, because of their round shape and sweet flavor.
