Prices are continuing to rise at their fastest rate in more than 40 years, driven by higher gas and food costs. 由于汽油和食品价格飞涨，英国持续上涨的物价已突破了40多年来的最高水平。
UK inflation, the rate at which prices rise, jumped to 9.4% in the 12 months to June, from 9.1% in May, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

Mitchi Thompson, a California man who contracted COVID-19 and monkeypox at the same time, said the double-dose of misery left him flattened for weeks. 美国加利福尼亚州一位名叫汤姆森的男子同时感染新冠和猴痘病毒，双倍的痛苦导致他几个星期无法下床。
The twin viruses left him feeling as if he had a severe case of influenza, Thompson said.
