In 1925, International Children\\'s Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on ChildWelfare. Since 1950, it is celebrated on 1 June in most Communist and post-Communist countries. World Children\\'s Day is celebrated on 20 November to commemorate the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1959.

In 1949, the International Federation of democratic women held a meeting in Moscow. At the meeting, a resolution was adopted to protect the rights of children all over the world and fight against child abuse and poisoning. In order to commemorate all the babies in the Czech village of Lidice who were slaughtered by Nazi Germany in June 1942, June 1 was decided as the international children\\'s day.
Since 1949, China has officially designated June 1 as children\\'s day. Schools generally organize relevant collective activities and require students to dress formally.
